Lynn, as I mentioned earlier, I thoroughly enjoyed your lecture in Traverse City on November 8. You covered the entire history of dental implants from beginning to end. I was in practice during that time and you hit every milestone. The fact that you are a dental hygienist, allows you to really understand the challenges of maintaining dental implants versus teeth. We all realize that trying to maintain a metal object like a dental implant in the mouth has challenges very different from scaling natural teeth. I like the fact that you covered the use of the Cavitron with the rubber tip, which I believe does a nice job debriding the sulcus around implants. The wraparound flossing technique you described is the most under used and under
recommended treatment for maintaining dental implants. Many of our patients who come in with mucositis are treated only with debridement and then wrap around flossing and everything heals up very nicely. Thank you again for your nice presentation and thorough explanation of all questions.

I am a dentist and had the pleasure of hearing Lynn give a lecture on caring for our patients with dental implants.

I was a typical dentist and figured there wasn't much that I would hear that I didn't already know, but I was incorrect to say the least.
